Magicien Mariage Lausanne BCL

Who are we?
Founded on September 28, 1942, the Magicien Mariage Lausanne (CML) is an association that brings together practitioners of magic, both professional and amateur. Not pursuing any profit, its goal is to create camaraderie ties and contribute to the development of magical art by setting up meetings, courses, conferences, congresses, and public spectacles.

In 1982 and 1991, the CML had the honor of organizing at the Palais de Beaulieu the World Congress of the FISM (International Federation of Magic Societies) which brings together more than two thousand participants. This event takes place every three years in a different country. It brings together the best magicians in the world who take part in a competition and awards the title of World Champion to the first of them. In 1969, 1977, 1989 and 1999, the club organized the Swiss National Congress of the CMS (Swiss Magic Circle).

What do we do?
The members of the club, now more than seventy, and sometimes magicians visiting Lausanne, meet once a month, as 70 years ago the founders of the CML united by the same passion: conjuring. Conferences are organized during which magicians of international reputation come to demonstrate their technique and share their knowledge. In addition, the club has set up a Magic School for adults and juniors that offers introductory courses in magic art. It also organizes public performances in its Claude Bercantal Theater, a fully equipped room with 34 seats.
